About F.A.C.T.

about1Family Advocacy and Community Training (F.A.C.T.)

F.A.C.T. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit family organization that provides information, education, and practical support to families that include children/adults with any type of disability.

Our programs are for the mom, dad, grandparent, aunt, uncle, brother and sister and anyone who is a guardian or interested in the welfare of a child with a disability.

Every year, our team of more than 25 Parent Support Partners and Educational Advocates provide support to more than 1,700 families in Saint Charles County, Warren County, Franklin County, Lincoln County, St. Louis County, St. Louis City and Jefferson County.

We are here to guide you, stand beside you, cheer for your successes, hold your hand when things get tough and give you the knowledge you need to parent to the very best of your ability.

We understand the challenges of raising a child with a disability

From visits to doctors, therapists and counselors, to the time it can take to get your child up and dressed for school and the additional effort it takes to get homework done, you are always on.

We know this because we have lived it. Everyone at F.A.C.T. has a person with a disability in their family. Sometimes you need support, sometimes you need information and sometimes you need someone who understands to listen. And that is why we are here.

Services for families

We offer the families that include children with disabilities four programs, online training, and workshops to help you because your voice needs to be heard when the professionals are making decisions about your child:

  • Navigate the special education system
  • Access a wide variety of services in the community
  • Advocate for your child’s needs
  • Give you whatever support you need so that you can be the caregiver you want to be

Sign up for a workshop or view the Calendar here.
