No Hunger Holiday

This seasonal project – funded by the Knights of Columbus and contributions made by concerned citizens, businesses and other organizations – provides our eligible families with the food items they need to create memories by hosting Thanksgiving dinner in their own homes.

F.A.C.T.’s role in this effort is to help promote the project and identify eligible families. This can be a challenging task; eligible families often find it difficult to accept what they consider to be charity. Our team approaches families individually, assures them of confidentiality and treats families with the dignity and respect they deserve. The effort begins months before Thanksgiving, and allows families time to select a meal based on their own cultural preferences and family traditions, as well as any household food allergies or dietary restrictions.

With the help of this program, Thanksgiving can continue to be celebrated in households across our area. We at F.A.C.T. consider it a blessing ourselves to be able to be a part of the No Hunger Holiday.
