
Educational Advocate Opportunity
If you are a person who would be interested in making a difference in the lives of people with disabilities, we have an exciting position as an Educational Advocate available. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of life experience and/ or training in advocacy with a knowledge and/or familiarity with IDEA and 504 laws and regulations. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, an ability to maintain confidentiality, and be able to work with parents, community professionals at a variety of levels, and school personnel required. Data entry skills required. Parent or family member of an individual with a disability is strongly preferred. A high school diploma or GED required. Flexible hours (some evening meetings) and reliable transportation are required. This position reports to the Supervisor of Advocacy.
