Educational Advocate Opportunity

 If you are a person who would be interested in making a difference in the lives of people with disabilities, we have an exciting position as an Educational Advocate available.  The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of life experience and/ or training in advocacy with a knowledge and/or familiarity with IDEA and 504 laws and regulations.  Excellent communication and negotiation skills, an ability to maintain confidentiality, and be able to work with parents, community professionals at a variety of levels, and school personnel required.  Data entry skills required.  Parent or family member of an individual with a disability is strongly preferred.  A high school diploma or GED required.  Flexible hours (some evening meetings) and reliable transportation are required.  This position reports to the Supervisor of Advocacy.  If you are interested in this position please contact:  Jennifer Brooks at 636.949.2425 ext. 255 or at jbrooks@factmo.org.
